Quality and dimension requirements for our lumber and pallet products. Per DSTU EN 1315 and industry standards.

DSTU EN 1315-2-2001 (ГОСТ-9462-88). QUALITY AND DIMENSION REQUIREMENTS FOR TIMBER

Timber

Straight trunk of fresh-cut without end checks, blue stain, internal rot, insect and ring cracks, without knots or branches, frost cracks, without double heart, centering.

A

1st grade (grade A)

Straight trunk, the following wood defects are allowed: knots, cracks with a diameter up to 1/20 of the corresponding diameter of the end, mechanical damage such as notches, splinters, chips, and wanes

B

2nd grade (grade B)

The following wood defects are allowed: slight trunk curve, sound open knots from 4 to 7 cm, sound rotten knots up to 3 cm, cracks except for lateral and end cracks from drying from 1/5 to 1/3 of the corresponding diameter of the end.

C

3rd grade (grade C)

The following wood defects are allowed: simple curvature with dimensions - the ratio of flexure deflection at the place of the greatest curvature to the total length of the log over 3% to 5%, sound open knots from 10 to 15 cm, cracks except for lateral and end cracks from drying from 1/3 to ? of the corresponding diameter of the end.

The four sides adjacent to face A must be at least half (up to 1/2 h) clean.

  • ВBack face.

On back face B, as well as on sides adjacent to it, the following defects are allowed:

  • —Knots - up to 50%
  • Е1Sound knots - up to 20 мм
  • Е3Black knots - up to 5мм

Not allowed:

  • Е2Through knots
  • Е4Heartwood.

    • Material - softwood or birch. Moisture up to 20%, made from solid piece of wood.
    • Slats dimensions: 20*25*800/1200 mm (thickness* width* length).
    • Slats dimensions for support: 20*35*800 mm (for elements 420...635 mm).

    Connection

    • Pallets 800*1200 mm are connected by 2+2 tapes in each direction.
    • Pallets 800*1500/1800 mm are connected with a minimum of 4 tapes.
    • Pallets 800*2100/2400 mm are connected with a minimum of 5 tapes.
    • Tying pallets the day before loading is not allowed.
    • Wrapping in plastic is strictly prohibited.

    Marking

    • The attached card on the slat indicates:
    • — Width
    • — Length
    • — Number of elements
    • — Pallet number.
